Send an email with your name, phone number and 1, 2 (or more) options of that morning/evening in the week. Also mention whether it is a pottery or sculpting course. Pottery CourseThis course consists of 12 lessons, with 1 lesson per week as a starting point. If it does not always work out, it will be determined in consultation when you can catch up on a lesson. In the lessons you will learn everything about the technique of turning on one of the (electric) potters. You will also learn what is involved in making beautiful ceramics (yourself).

Duration of a lesson: 2 hours. The 12 lessons must be followed in a period of 15 -active- weeks. Course moments that are cancelled due to holidays and/or other reasons from our side do not count. If those 15 active weeks are exceeded, the outstanding lessons will be cancelled.

Start date and day of the week in consultation (depending on whether there is room in the group)

Price: €270,- (12 lessons) per person, incl. materials (clay and glazes. Use of special glazes: price in consultation) NB: there is a waiting list for this registration.

Course Modeling In this course you will discover your creativity with clay. You will learn more about working with clay, the tips and tricks you need to pay attention to to make sure you end up making a piece of work that makes you happy!

Price: €270,- (12 lessons) per person, incl. 1 loaf of clay (10kg) and glazes. Extra loaves of clay of 10 kg cost €10,- Use of special glazes: price in consultation.

Pottery or Sculpting Workshop

Duration of the workshop: 2.5 hours. Number of participants for pottery: max. 6 persons (due to 6 potters' wheels). More participants may be possible upon consultation, but then they must take turns turning (!). Number of participants for sculpting: 4 to a maximum of 14.

Workshops take place on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning: available dates are listed on this website.

Materials are included. After drying, the workpiece is fired ('biscuit firing') and then glazed in the colour(s) of your choice. This process takes about 3 weeks.

After cooling of the glaze firing, the work can be picked up or sent for an additional payment of shipping costs. Workshop price: €50,- per person, to be paid in advance via this website.

On the website you will find an overview of the Pottery and/or Sculpting workshops for the coming months. Select the desired workshop and click on Reserve. You will then receive a confirmation from us in your mailbox. For a number of more than 6 people, information can be requested via the email address info@ooysekleischuur.nl. Please state whether it concerns a sculpting or pottery workshop, the desired date and the number of people.

WORKSHOP conditions:

  • The costs of the workshop must be paid in advance.
  • If the workshop cannot take place, you can cancel up to two weeks before the workshop date. You will then receive the total workshop amount minus €10,- per person back.
  • If the workshop is cancelled within 2 weeks before the agreed date, you will receive half of the workshop fee back.
  • If you cancel 1 day before or on the day of the course itself, you will not receive a refund and you will still owe the entire amount (i.e. number of people x current workshop price)

In the event of unusual situations as described above, the matter will be handled in consultation.
